These alternators are 100% made in the u.S.A. They come complete with a chrome fan and both a v-belt pulley and sepentine belt pulley, gold battery post and proof of performace tag. They features a variety of out put's and case finishes depending upon your application. From 60 amps and externally regulated like the old days to internally regulated 140 amp brutes for the high use applications. The internally regulated models use 1 wire technology and has a Ford style case. 1 wire technology is different from oem in that the alternator is energized with a special sensing circuit built into the internal regulator. The circuit senses the rotation of the alternators rotor. The oem (externally regulated models) use the ignition switch to energize the alternator. The alternator must be run at a certain speed in order to trip this internal circuit (usually around 1400 rpm). Once tripped, it will remain on even at idle, and will not quit until the alternator's rotor comes to a complete stop. 1 wire alternators allow for a much cleaner install, reduced unsightly wires and no need for an external regulator. They also allow you to run a much higher amperage alternator to power up those higher output car stereos, additional lights, racing accessories like additional solenoids and switches, fuel pumps, etc.
