The hei system uses the coil in cap technology for a cleaner, self contained installation. The tower style cap allows for aftermarkt style spark plug wires and afFords better contact between the cap and plug wire. Distributor features a new aluminum housing machined from a384 alloy and comes complete with a dielectric strenGTh cap, solid brass terminals, low resisitance center coil brush, balanced rotor and nylon hold down screws to prevent high rpm arcing. Also includes factory installed adjustable vacuum advance canister and high performance mechanical advance curve kit with precision stamped weights and center plate. Legal in all 50 states (c.A.R.B. E.O. #d-57-5). Limited 1 year warranty. Cap measures 6.295 inches in width and 9.482 inches from intake mating surface to top of coil. May be used with our universal 8 mm plug wire kit ign101. Does not work with 351w or 351 Cleveland
