Unfortunately the lower cowl panel on the early Mustangs is very prone to rust. Luckily this very nice replacement is available. It may seem like a huge job but in reality the old one can be removed by carefully drilling out the spot welds, and the new panel spot welded in it's place. There are many spot welds but most restorers are pleasantly surprised after they attempt this job.
